Are you keeping up with SOA?
90 minute episode… Kurt Sutter tweeted, “Do not miss CALL OF DUTY tonight. 90 minutes of explosive fun. My homage to gaming and once again we say GOODBYE to a member of SAMCRO.”
Kozik. Mostly because Kenny Johnson is on another show that has now been canceled. Insert sad face because I really liked him, the interaction between he and Tig was classic SOA, imo.
Wendy, Wendy, Wendy… why? And, how is it with the way people get killed around here that WENDY would think SHE could be dangerous to anyone? Really?
Notice, I am not about to go off on some massive recap or some critique of Kurt’s vision. I’m on the ride, the train has left the station and just like a scared kid mid-roller coaster there is no way to scream, “let me off! This sucks!!!” Not because SOA sucks, but because this is a trip that has already completed and we are all just watching the family vacation photos.
I do want to say that I am unhappy with the blatant manipulation of Opie. I dig Unser being honest about it and going against Gemma, but we all know where Opie is gonna go with this and it isn’t going to be pretty. Previews, Gemma doesn’t want Opie to kill Clay? But, she said Clay needed to die at the hands of a son. We’re going to be picky about which one it is now?
Tig… I don’t know what I expected him to do upon seeing Gemma’s face, but what he did do I felt was true to his character and I loved it.
I’ve got to say that last season, Ireland, was frustrating and gut wrenching. The season ending was such an amazing, beautiful, explosive twist and was so satisfying. This season… feels like it’s barreling toward a brick wall and no one is going to get out alive. I can’t see the writers pulling off another brilliant twist that leaves us feeling breathless but confident that the club was intact, you know?
Any thoughts on that 90 minute episode?
